General Conduct
You should keep sufficient
notes to ensure that you are clear about who is doing what, especially what
you are expected to do and when. We expect you to return messages and calls
promptly, both from customers and colleagues. It is also important that as part
of working with people effectively consultants take care to observe any relevant
personal points with customers and colleagues to acknowledge their status as
human beings as well. This should include being very careful about checking
job titles and the correct spelling of their name.
If you can't be bothered
to get those details right, can you be bothered to get them right on other aspects
of the project?
Consultants are expected
to work effectively in teams as and when necessary on projects under the direction
of the project manager and/or the project director. Consultants are expected
to assist each other as colleagues and to provide support and advice by phone
or otherwise when requested. Next time it might be you in need of help. As part
of creating a positive environment within the company, it is good practice to
look for opportunities to support and compliment colleagues on their work from
time to time.
Nothing demotivates more
than carping criticism, especially when it is unjustified. A supportive style
was one of the things which made the original HW Co such a pleasure to work
in and one which we wish to maintain.
