Consultancies cannot be specialists in everything, so you will not find one consultancy who can undertake all tasks properly (whatever they say). A good consultant knows what he knows and what he does not know. Big companies need not assume that they should always go to the big consultancy companies.

Often you can find proven practitioners amongst the smaller consultancy organisations who offer better value for money. However, you need to pick the ones with the right skills and the right approach. Recruiting a consultancy has similarities to recruiting staff - it needs to be done with some thought.
